Niger Delta militants

The three female teachers, Patience Osadoplor, Momodu Aisha and Patience Oroghene who were abducted at Orhogbua Primary School, Ekehuan, village, Edo state have been freed. The teachers were kidnapped at gunpoint on July 30 and taken to an unknown destination. They were, however, released in the early hours of Tuesday at the Ekhehuan axis of the state.
The abductors had initial demanded a ransom of N60 million for their release but later scaled the amount down to N7.5 million.
Unconfirmed reports say a ransom was, however, paid before the kidnapped teachers were made to breathe the air of freedom.
