Nigerian Girl, Naomi Oni wept for joy after successful cosmetic surgery to recreate her eyebrows which were burnt off in the horrific assault.
It is the latest stage of treatment for
the 21-year-old after she was doused in sulphuric acid last year
leaving her temporarily blinded and suffering burns to her face, leg,
arms and head.
Naomi and Debra Robson, who performed the procedure |
She faces further intricate laser surgery as doctors strive to lessen the impact of her scars and reconstruct her face in the same way as other acid attack victim, Katie Piper.
Ten months on, the shop assistant was finally well enough to have the first cosmetic procedure on her face – recreating her eyebrows with semi-permanent make-up.
And after seeing the results following the procedure at Harley Street clinic Debra Robson LDN, Ms Oni broke down in tears.
She said:
God bless you dear!“It has been very difficult to come to terms with.“My doctors have been brilliant but it will take years of laser surgery to repair my face.“There is only so much you can do at any one time – then there is long healing process before you can undergo the next stage of the treatment.“I loved having the treatment – it feels so good to have my eyebrows back. I did get a bit emotional when I saw them. It’s the first time I have seen myself with eyebrows for almost a year.”
