Aston Villa striker, Christian Benteke has won the April award for the Barclays Premier League Player of the Month.
The Belgian become the first Aston Villa play to win the gong since Ashley Young-now of Manchester United-won in December 2008.
The
striker Benteke has been a pivotal part of Villa's relegation fight
scoring five Premier League goals in four games during the month of
April.
He scroed against Manchester United, Tottenham and a hat-trick in the 3-3 draw with Queens Park Rangers.
Benteke beat Leicester City duo Kasper Schmeichel and Jamie Vardy, Manchester United's Ander Herrera, Charlie Adam of Stoke and Chelsea captain John Terry to win award.
Leicester City manager, Nigel Pearson won the manager's award.
